YAMATO ENTERPRISES, INC.
Yamato Enterprises, Inc., was first established in 1978 to manage Japanese restaurant chains in the Philippines. And for a span of 20 years, YAMATO managed Fujiyama Hotel and Restaurant, six branches of Yamato Restaurant, and Daruma Restaurant in Laguna.
In 1984, YAMATO ventured into exporting the dogfish shark liver oil to Japan. The shark oil components, Squalene and Squalane, extracted from shark liver oil is used in major cosmetic products in Japan.
In 1989, YAMATO established itself as an importation business and brought in exclusive contracts as importer and distributor of high quality Japanese health food supplements, beginning with Squalene-S. It was followed by Provimin Spirulina Vegetablet in 1996 and Green Power in 2006. These are available in major and minor drugstores all over the Philippines.
In 1997, YAMATO established Darumaya Japanese Food Center, a foodstuff business that caters to the needs of hotels, restaurants and private individuals. It regularly imports dry foods and frozen foods direct from Japan to satisfy its Filipino and foreign clients.
In 2009, YAMATO has expanded its product lineup with Sawayaka, the first imported stevia in the Philippines.
