TATA Daewoo has been putting continuous efforts and striving to meet the challenges of being 'a company that thinks customer first and a company that stretches towards being a global manufacturer of specialized commercial vehicles'.

In Oct. '95, the Company, still a part of Daewoo Motors, moved away from Incheon to set up a new production facility with state-of-the-art technology in Gunsan. In Nov. '02, our Company was spun-off from Daewoo Motors as a separate entity under the name of "Daewoo Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd".

In Mar. '04, the company was acquired by "Tata Motors Ltd.", the largest manufacturer of commercial vehicles in India and was re-christened as "Tata Daewoo Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd.".

With the strong combination of management capabilities of the two companies such as customer-focused initiatives, technology, product-development capability and excellent manpower, Tata Daewoo is set to lead the commercial vehicle industry in Korea and also achieve its global ambitions as a specialized maker of commercial vehicles. "Novus", Tata Daewoo's new generation truck, developed in june 2004, is a firm step in that direction.
