Sungeum Music Co., Ltd.

The company was founded by HyunKwon Park ,a craftsman,in April 1972 in the basement of his home, four people working in a 20 square metre area. In that early period, the company had produced classical guitars for the Korean domestic market and these quickly had a good reputation, mainly for their high quality of sound.

To supply enough guitars according to demand, the company had to move large place to produce. The guitars were branded 'Sungeum' which means 'accomplishing the sound' and this is still a well known brand in the Korean market, today. HyunKwon's ambition is always to supply instruments and guitar players the range from acoustic to eletro-acoustin, throughout the world.
