Company Introduction

When it comes to Chili Peppers, it can be a real mine field of differing opinions.

We quickly arrive at the conclusion that RED is hot and GREEN is Not! and AMBER (Orange/Yellow) is a safe in between! Right?

Add in the Purple, Brown and Yellow, or the two-toned varieties and confusion reigns supreme. (for me anyhow)

Most Chillies will start the growing cycle as Green and gradually ripen to Red. Some will start off Brown and eventually ripen to Purple then Red and some will start off Yellow and ripen to Red.

Right across this spectrum of chili colors, you will find some real scorchers.

Color is NO indication of the heat intensity of a Chili

... and on to the next big Eternal Question.

Does SIZE matter?

Are SMALLER chillies hotter than the BIGGER ones?

Some smaller type chili varieties can be very hot indeed, but there are some larger varieties that will register a tidal wave of heat with most people. There are some larger varieties too, that will make you feel like your lips are blistering.
