And in the line of Bangladeshi fashion design, the house of haute couture, Rumpy’s Collection wings have reached the masses for over a decade. From its inception in 2008, the boutique has earned a niche among fashion connoisseurs through its unique designs and connections with our heritage. There was a time when the boutique&＃039;s proprietor Sarker Abedin Morshed and his wife Rumki was the designer. &＃039;In the beginning, Rumpy’s Collection had only two workers; now it has over 20 people as staff, and along with them almost a hundreds rural women engaged with the boutique. &＃039;The design section of Rumpy’s Collection is getting more active and powerful. All designers are working as a group and their output comes after discussions with each other. The hard work and attention of the design section and quality section are spread out on the store&＃039;s racks, &＃039; he adds. Rumpy’s Collection only one outlet in Dhaka is staffed by attendants that are competent and knowledgeable about the goods they sell; a point the store prides itself on. Rumpy’s Collection is a familiar name to those who are fashion conscious. We are bringing out different types of flavors for each different season. It&＃039;s a perfect and suitable place for men and women to purchase exclusive and exceptional outfits. And for Eid, all the outlets of Rumpy’s Collection are decorated with vibrantly colored and elegant dresses. The sari collection at Rumpy’s Collection can be daunting due to its size and diversity. There are different types of saris available here - starting from the limpid and mellow, to the shimmering and gorgeous. Among them are Tangail cotton and kota saris with block and embroidering; prices vary from Tk 325 - 2550. There are the Rajshahi silk, georgette, endi and Muslin saris, with price tags fluctuating from Tk 1550 right up to Tk 11000. &＃039;We have brought in exclusive and expensive saris for the first time in muslin and silk, which are gorgeously embroidered and have intricate karchupi and zari works. With attractive designs, Rumpy’s Collection shalwar kameez come in cotton, endi-cotton, voile, georgette, linen, and other handloom fabrics. To give the shalwar kameezes a special look, Rumpy’s Collection designers used mixed media. The colors used were mainly blue, green, sky-blue, grey, black, maroon and orange. The collection comprises of both long and short kameezes with embroidery, block printing, karchupi, and spray-paint. Short kameezes are combined with dividers or pants. Cotton kameezes cost Tk 450 - 1495, endi cotton pieces cost Tk 1650 - 1850. Silk and muslin are priced at Tk 2650 - 5225 and georgette Tk 1350 - 1550. A special collection of men&＃039;s punjabis, shirts and T-shirts are also available in Rumpy’s Collection. The punjabi&＃039;s in high neck or sherwani cut, with dupatta, are made from silk, joy silk, dupian silk and other fabrics. The economy price is Tk 465 and the highest Tk 3500. Apart from that, any aspiring metro sexual can choose his favorite type of pyjama from churidar, aligahri, salwar and normal trousers ranging between Tk 150 - 285. The summer is over but the comfortable fatua still rules in men&＃039;s fashion-wear; and trend has increasingly caught on in women&＃039;s fashion too. Fatuas in khadi, cotton and endi-cotton, are embroidered with lots of colour and tie-dyed. The price of the fatuas range from Tk 350 - 1050. Rumpy’s Collection is also one of the few boutiques that have an exclusive range for children. A medley of fatuas, punjabis, shirts and shalwar kameezes are there for the youngest members of the family; prices fall between Tk 125 - 1125.
