Precision Tees, Inc. was formed in 2006 after the founder, Suren Sagadevan, experienced countless frustrating trips to the range, not only due to his poor golf skills, but because the tees at the local range (using artificial turf practice mats) only supplied the standard rubber tees that did not allow for any height adjustability. Additionally, those rubber tees caused a significant amount of friction at the club's point of impact due to the wide, hollow opening where the ball sat. One night Suren decided to put pen to paper and started designing his idea for a new, more practical tee for range mats. After all, if adjusting the tee's height on the course is a matter of a fraction of an inch, then why shouldn't you have that same luxury at the practice range? After launching their first version of the adjustable height range tees in 2007, Precision Tees learned that the tee was very well received by golfers everywhere that were experiencing the same frustrations at ranges using mats. During this time, we also received a lot of feedback from our customers about ways to improve the tee. Therefore, we are proud to announce the launch of The Groove RT, a durable, practical, adjustable height range tee solution for use at ranges using practice mats. The Groove RT is designed for individual golfers to carry in their bags and use in place of standard rubber tees out at the range.
