POS-HiAL, a joint venture company between POSCO M-TECH (POSCO-affiliated manufacturer of raw materials) and KC Corporation (experienced Korean alumina manufacturer) produces high-purity alumina (HPA, more than 99.995%) that are feedstock of the next generation materials such as LED, secondary battery and fine ceramics. POS-HiAL will become a reliable supplier of the world best HPA, on the strength of POSCO, the world?s leading steel maker.
POS-HiAL was established on Jan. 2012, started production on Jan.2013, invested by Samsung C&T on Apr.2013, and licensed ISO-9001 & 14001.
Having the vision of becoming the world top high purity alumina manufacturer through sustainable R&D and facility investment, POS-HiAL started production with the capacity of 2,000MT/year and now produces 3 kinds of product ; powder, granule and pellet for sapphire single crystal, separator coating material, electrode material, abrasive material, and electronic & mechanical components.
