With this philosophy, Fevzi Vizviz founded Omurteks in 1972 working on manufacturing and trading of fabrics. Till 1989, Omurteks became a leading company in the Turkish Textile Industry supported by its product quality and wide range of products. In 1990, Omurteks moved to its new head office at Nisantasi, Istanbul, where it started a new big jump in the market with new brands and products. During this period, Omurteks strengthened its being in the market by going towards knitted fancy fabrics for women outwear.
With the wide range of production such as Acrylic Lycra, 100% Polyester, Polyester Viscose, Polyester Gibe, 100% Viscose, Twisted Viscose Lycra, Twisted Polyester Full Lycra, Cotton Polyester, 100% Cotton, Tensel and many other uncountable with or without lycra mixed Lycra Supreme, Flat Supreme, Supreme, Interlock, Rachel, Triple Thread, Double Thread, Towel, Velvet, Polar and other fancy knitting methods together with latest trend colors and designs for women outwear. Omurteks has increased its production capacity to 3.000.000 kg annually due to the increase in its market share.

Omurteks, in year 2000?s, is now at the point that it determines the fashion and product range in the market with the power of settled company structure, qualified personnel and modernized production units. Omurteks tries to find out new peaks, being sure that it is more important to be stable on the top, than reaching it.
