The Niger Delta Development commission is an agency set up by the federal government of Nigeria to fast track lapses in the developmental plans of government within all the oil producing state of Nigeria. The commission is charged with undertaking developmental issues like, Building of roads, schools , markets, hospitals ,provision of water to the rural areas, rural electricity power projects, Organizing of training/vocational programs for the youths and provision of some other essential commodities required to better the lives of the citizens.
