MBT is founded in 1997 by a group of entrepreneurs with expertise in science, engineering and business management. Having witnessed an unprecedented growth of Taiwan's electronics industry in 1990s, this group of entrepreneurs decides to establish a new corporation devoted to emerging technology development to cope with rapidly changing competitive environment.
The technology of choice is MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems) to take advantage of Taiwan's established industrial environment, Infrastructure and demand conditions. Today, MBT has developed as the leading MEMS company in Taiwan, and the only company with non-SI based MEMS technology engaged in LIGA technology development for miniaturized Component parts and systems.
