Jiangsu Alfa Bus Co., Ltd ( Alfa Bus), located in the most vigoros economic region of the Yangtze River Delta – Jiangquin City, is designated a middle and large luxury bus manufacturers in China. In 1999, Alfa Bus was reorganized and set up on the basis of former bus manufacturer Jiangsu Arrow Bus Company. In 2002, it qualified for an ISO 9001 certificate while in 2003, it obtained national CCC certification.With a registered capital of 100 million RMB and covering an area of 100, 000 square meter, Alfa Bus has the capacity to produce 3, 000 units per year and its product portfolio ranges from 6m to 18m normal and luxury brandedes and city buses.Starting from 2000, Alfa Bus has followed the strategy of actively introducing world’s cutting edge techonology at the same time continuously innovating on its own. It has established technology and product co-operation with well-known auto manfacturers such as Indcar from Span, Iveco from Italy, Hino from Japan. In 2006, Alfa Bus and Scania which is reputed to be “king of the road” worked together to develop a world first class, national top level luxury branded and has become one of the few companies which have the capability of making such high class buses.In 2007, together with Scania once again, Alfa bus sucessfully launched its most up-to-date BRT bus. On June 10th, 2007, Chinese President Hu Jintao and Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt were present at the signing ceremony and it was the first time the Chinese President had attended such an event held between a Chinese bus enterprise and a foreign corporation.In Dec 2007, the advanced BRT bus made by Alfa Bus was handed over and service the Changzhou BRT line, which experienced rare snowstorms in the spring of 2008 and received unanimous praise from experts, city bus operators, and bus manufacturers.Alfa Bus’s strategy is, “ introduce technology and make excellent products”.
