Here we will elaborate on these many kinds based on the factors discussed below.1. Local Style 1. Urban Carpets Urban carpet is referred to a kind of carpet woven in the cities. City-woven carpet that is woven by a city-dwelling weaver is delicate and its number of lines is high. This kind of carpet has a special pattern and cartoon. Weaving carpets in the cities was mostly developed in Safavid era by establishing large carpet-weaving workshops in Isfahan and Tabriz. 2. Rural Carpets Rural Carpet is a kind of carpet that is woven in simple and basic ways in the villages. Rural carpets are mostly woven without any kind of cartoon and thus they are referred to as mentally-woven carpets.
