IITDC was founded in the USA in 1979 to foster and empower local craftsmen in India. In 1989, we opened our first retail merchandising outlet Joy of India in the Underground Atlanta. Through the natural progression of growth our first retail mall named the BaZaar opened in 1995 prior to the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. In 2002, we expanded into Joyofindia. Biz to take advantage of the E-commerce revolution via the internet.
Our founder, Mr. Deepak C. Shah PE, JD is a graduate of Sardar Patel University in India. Mr. Shah completed his Masters from Florida Institute of Technology in 1972. He has also received a law degree from Woodrow Wilson College of Law.
Joyofindia. Biz feels that there are vast opportunities for Indian Manufacturers to expand their product lines to the USA market and other developing countries around the world.
