Company Introduction

The present day Inspectorate was formed from the consolidation of a number of leading companies specializing in inspection, analysis, quality control and certification, and it can trace its origin back some 180 years. The organization employs around 2000 staff with offices and representation in over 100 countries around the world with International Headquarters at Witham, United Kingdom and Houston in Texas, U. S. A.In December 1993, Inspectorate (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd took over Trident Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a local marine inspection company which was established in 1971. During this exercise, Inspectorate maintains all Trident staff and existing offices. Inspectorate's intention was to ensure local business development and enhance the company's international involvement. In April 1998, Inspectorate Group was bought by UK based British Standards Institution (BSI) and the name of the company was changed to BSI Inspectorate Malaysia Sdn Bhd. On 13 October 2005, Inspectorate Group became part of the British publicly quoted group Inspicio PLC. The name of the company was changed to Inspectorate Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. Inspection and testing remain the core business of the new group, and there is no change in our interface with customers. There are also no changes in operational personnel, and Inspectorate remains committed to providing a superior service to our customers, at a fair price. Currently our branches are located in Port Klang (HQ) , Penang, Pasir Gudang, Malacca, Kuantan, Kerteh, Lumut, Bintulu, Lahad Datu & Sandakan. Inspectorate services include, but not limited to, inspection of quality and quantity, supervision of loading and discharging, sampling of liquid and bulk cargoes, marine surveys, condition and damage survey of ships and containers, loss assessment and adjustment and P & I Clubs representation. Inspectorate also covers a wide range of commodities and so far enjoys a high reputation from international as well as local customers.
