At the onset, we have put up a green field project of a mechanized Ductile iron/Grey iron foundry with installed capacity of 18000 Mt. annum in Burdwan, West Bengal in the name of Global Castings Pvt.Ltd.. This plant will cater to the ever growing market demand for good quality ductile iron castings. This foundry venture will primarily hover around four business verticals –Automotive castings, Industrial Castings, Railway Castings and Infrastructural Castings. The plant is being constructed on 2.5 lakh Sq Ft. of land and has a built up area of 130000 Sq Ft.. As a firm commitment towards minimizing environmental impact, 30% of the land has been earmarked for plantation and adequate pollution control equipments are being installed. The plant is equipped with well trained work force, modern manufacturing facilities and good quality control instruments coupled with a robust quality assurance system. With the Green Sand Moulding facility the company can do castings from 5 kgs to about 120 kgs depending upon the casting size and in the No Bake Moulding facility the company can do single piece castings up to 2 tones. The plant has commenced commercial production from the month of July 2010. Moulding facility (GREEN SAND) • One pair of DISA ARPA 450 simultaneous jolt squeeze moulding machines to accommodate 650 X 600 X 200/250 mm moulding boxes. • One pair of DISA ARPA 900 simultaneous jolt squeeze moulding machines to accommodate 950 X 900 X 250/300 mm moulding boxes. • One pair of SMFA 600 simultaneous jolt squeeze moulding machines to accommodate 700 X 800 X 250/300 mm moulding boxes.
