eSPOT Company Limited is located in Hong Kong Science Park. The company was founded in 2013 by Mr. Ricky Cheung, ex R&D Director of Traxon Technologies Limited (a subsidiary of Osram). The company has strong R&D background with 70% percentage of our staffs are high qualification engineers. The team has an average of over 10 years of experience on smart lighting system. With the emerging of Internet of Things concept, the company has launched a series of products that enable Internet of Lights which is the only furnishing that has full coverage of every area in homes and offices.eSPOT&＃39;s Power over Ethernet lighting technologies enable connected lighting by using RJ45 Ethernet cable to provide both power to LED lamps and means for two ways communication with our cloud based server. This is a revolutionary way of installing lighting fixtures in the sense that high voltage AC power is replaced by centralized low voltage DC power. Lighting control, occupancy and daylight harvesting sensors, ambient sensors can now be realized and manipulated though the IP network. So what are the benefits of this method over the traditional way of lighting control, like Dali? The obvious advantages are lower cost and ease of installation and maintenance by handling one data line instead of both AC power line plus data line. The networked two ways communication also allows sensor data feedback to control centre for energy management and even "Lighting as a Service" say on security, alert, navigation, elderly care etc. So with eSPOT lighting network as a backbone, IoT devices, say a wearable heart rate detector or a CCTV camera, can hook up to our cloud service to send out lighting alerts and warnings to care takers for further action. Human centric services become possible though big data analysis. We do not stop at that. A Wifi based wireless system is developed to add flexibility to different installation need. We enable network capability to traditional non-networked appliances. We continue our development to use lighting for indoor positioning which is the key for location base services.
