Dongfang Electronics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Dongfang Electronics) is a hi-tech business group combining research and development, production and operation, technical services and system integration, one of the major suppliers of China�s energy management system solutions, and also the key hi-tech enterprise aided by the state and Shandong Province. In 1982, we developed the first microcomputer-based remote terminal unit (RTU) in China through cooperation with Shandong Industrial University, which has made us involved in power system automation field. After development of more than five decades, Dongfang Electronics has owned 18 proprietary and investment enterprises including one listed company, and more than 2, 800 employees of whom those with the bachelor degree and above account for 70%. Dongfang Electronics has boasted the technical center and the post-doctoral scientific research station recognized by the state, participated in the international standard formulation of International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on behalf of China, and exported the technologies and services to South America, Southeast Asia, Middle East, Europe, etc. For six years in succession, Dongfang Electronics has been placed in the top 30 list of �Top 100 Chinese Software Enterprises�; for more than ten years, Dongfang Electronics has come out top in the market share of China�s power automation industry; in recent four years, Dongfang Electronics has been ranked the first in the gross export.
