We are a private company that has been growing coffee in the Dominican Republic for over 67 years.

The coffeereview.com recently gave Dominican Gold a rating of 92 which is the highest rating ever bestowed upon a Dominican Coffee, as well as being the highest rating received by coffee grown in the Caribbean. Here's some history about our coffee and how it arrived in the Dominican Republic:

The Caribbean�� highest mountain range is right in the Dominican Republic. This tropical paradise is the prime location for coffee to naturally grow. Perfect conditions with rich soil helps cultivate our gourmet coffee.

Our coffee is 100% Arabica ��with a perfect blend of Caturra, Typica and Bourbon seeds.  The plants are direct descendants from Louis XIV�� royal stock, having arrived in The Dominican Republic (DR) in 1735, after a long and then dangerous trip over the Atlantic Ocean, during which only one plant survived and only because it got equal fresh water rations shared with the ship�� crew. The coffee flourished. The offspring of those original plants grace our forested slopes, where some of the oldest coffee farms in the New World produce extraordinary coffee that reflects this remarkable heritage. As an ecological benefit, this shade grown coffee provides two tree-canopies, thus reducing soil erosion and run-off. It also produces large amounts of bio-mass and is a very important carbon-fixing crop as well as being a refuge for North America�� migrating birds.
