We proudly produce our organic coconut sugar from Central Java in Indonesia. There, the local farmers use traditional methods to tap the sap from coconut flowers which is the ONLY ingredient in our sugar. Coconut sugar is gaining popularity as a healthier alternative to cane sugar, mainly due to its low Glycemic Index of 35. Apart from that it adds a rich flavour to coffee and cakes. It is a common ingredient found in Asian kitchens but relatively unknown to the rest of the world. Our farmers are taken care of to ensure that safety precautions are in place as they are climbing trees, that can grow up to 25 metres, twice daily.
