Canfuel is a company located in the calgary area of Canada that is dedicated to the development and distribution of gaseous fueling systems for automotive applications. Canfuels focus on the automotive sector is comprised of providing compressed natural gas (cng ) and liquefied petroleum gaseous (lpg) systems for both diesel and spark ignition engines. Their customer base includes both original equipment manufacturers (oems) and after-market conversion companies.While many companies around the world have developed cng and lpg conversion systems for spark ignition engines, most have had difficulty with developing the same for diesel engines. Diesel engines modified to operate on cng requires actual re-engineering of several internal engine components as well as accurately delivering fuel and providing ignition at the correct time. Canfuel has found that qualified mechanical engineers who have obtained significant experience working at the OEM engine development and manufacturing level can best carry out these design related tasks. As such, canfuels representatives, who offer application and support services to the their clients in a given region, are required to have an advanced level of technical expertise which exceeds the industry norms by a significant amount.Canfuels core competence is in bringing together the best balance of advanced computer controlled electro-mechanical sub-systems with conventional mechanical sub-systems that are designed to address both price sensitivities and reliability/service requirements of developing markets. What is deemed an appropriate solution on the roads of Germany is not necessarily an appropriate solution in India or Mexico. For example, a multi-point, fuel injected, lean burn cng system on a bus engine may provide the best in fuel efficiency but has very advanced technical support requirements and a very limited system tuning tolerance. Where as a simpler stoichiometric system, which does not push the efficiency envelope is considerably less expenses and more tolerant of variables such as fuel impurities and adhering to regular engine maintenance schedules. Canfuel believes that engineering the system to the actual market requirements is as important as ensuring that our rep
