Camp Jenil Copra Buy and Sell is one of the newest local agriculture business located at Puntabaja,Rizal,Palawan,Philippines., I have applied for the name registration at the Department of Trade and Industry to be listed as Official Coconut buyer,seller, and hopefully exporter in the future. I have existing land of 8,000 square meters with coconuts and that made me realized what to do with dry coconuts?
I was encouraged by small scale farmers to being Coconut harvesting, the Cooked it in the native way of Filipinos, then I came in contact with Cargill Copra Buyer and made me realized that this is a high demand product.
What motivate me to start is to help my poor neighbors who are looking for jobs, so I started this business to give them job to do by hiring them to harvest coconuts, remove coconuts from the shell, and cook it in a native Pugon ( or man made oven). This is exciting for me, but it is also a challenge. I realized that there are many coconuts falling from the trees of other farmers and it only goes to waste, so this idea came to me to study this business and will get in touch with local Coconut farmers, buy from them and then I also sell them to the Main Buyer.
It is a good start for me and Praise to GOD for the bountiful Harvest.
