BHARAT ISPAT UDYOG-A mile stone A new mile stone has been laid, as the future visionary attitude of management, has initiated to produce TMT bars under the brand name &＃039;Bharatam TMT&＃039; the product of new millennium accredited with T & Q technology of Germany being used to manufacture TMT (Thermo Mechanically Treated) bars in the state of art computerized controlled TMT plant under the supervision of specialist metallurgists & engineers at Mandi Gobindgarh. Rigorous quality tests & certifications are the order of the moment. The total quality principles implemented in its working & products have incorporated ISO: 9001-2000, BIS Certification (IS 1786-85) & other standard certifications. Mechanized material handling, high level of automation & efficient equipments truly make this plant the most modern facility. The integrated steel house consists of the steel melting shop with billet caster, two induction furnaces & the rolling unit with TMT plant having equipments from leaders in steel technology. TMT TECHNOLOGY TMT Bars are produced in the state of art plant under the close supervision of frontline metallurgists & engineers through a process with adequate capabilities, process optimization & strict control. Bharat Ispat Udyog has perfected the art of steel making with 40 years experience ensuring that the rebar�s that you buy are 100% in compliance to the needs & expectations. The process TMT Technology from world leaders, has three stages Quenching: When the hot rolled bar leaves the final mill stand at 1250 degree it is rapidly quenched by a special water spray system hardening the surface of the bar to a depth optimized through formation of marten site rim while the inner core remains hot & austenitic. Now the temperature of the bar is reduced to 300 degree. Self Tempering: When the bar leaves the quenching box, the core remains hot as compared to the surface allowing heat to flow from the core to surface causing tempering of the outer artensite layer into a solid structure of "Tempered marten site" the core still remains austenitic at this stage. Atmospheric Cooling: The bar kept on cooling bed gets cooled by natural air transforming the austenitic core into ductile-ferrite pearlite solid structure thus the final structure consists of an optimum combination of strong outer layer (tempered marten site) with a ductile core giving the unique combination of higher strength & ductility. Our in house quality assurance division is fully equipped to test everything from the incoming raw materials to the finished products. An elaborate system has been set up ensure that each and every component right from raw materials to the finished product is tested before being used/dispatched. Bureau of Indian standards (BIS) has awarded ISI certificate, IS 1786/85 CM/L 9611074, apart from it premier testing laboratory of India Shri Ram Institute for Industrial research, New Delhi (A unit of Shri Ram Scientific & Industrial Research Foundation, New Delhi) has tested our TMT product & found it according to National & International standards.
