As one of the leading hazelnut processing companies in the world, our main objective at Balsu for more than a quarter century is to provide premium raw and processed hazelnuts to international and domestic markets.

We watch the exact product specification requirements of our clients, to ensure a healthy supply chain from the farmer to the customers warehouse. Balsu selects its supply partners carefully and controls all incoming goods on the spot or at Balsu own fully equipped lab for the promised consistent quality. Only quality assured hazelnuts are further processed for production or delivery.

Balsu plant, conveniently located in Hendek/Sakarya since 1994, is still one of the most sophisticated factories its the field. The multi-tiered production facility with annual cracking and processing capacity of 35,000 mt hazelnut kernels each, covers an area of 13,000 m2 and supplied by a temperature controlled warehouse of 4200 m2, silos for 4000 mt and cold storage, where hazelnut freshness is conserved for longer periods.

The processing facility combines the latest technology with hard to replace human touch to maintain top quality processing throughout the entire production. Our facility houses premium roasting chambers, sorting, dicing, grinding, refining and equipment.

The strictest hygienic conditions are observed with extreme care. TQM principles are followed at each stage of production and random samples are analyzed by multiple testing procedures. Balsu ISO 9001:2000 and HACCP certificates by SGS seal the quality produce.
