Agricultural cooperative Issyk Kul Organic

The agricultural commodity and service cooperative "Issyk-Kul Organic" has been created in 2012. It is officially registered in the Ministry of Justice of Kyrgyzstan in June 2016. It is one of the first cooperatives in Kyrgyzstan which has received the certificate of IMO (Turkey) on production of organic products.In 2013, the cooperative has begun to specialize in cultivation, drying and realization of medical herbs and in the same year begun to supply its product (dried roots of a valerian) to Germany. Having got the first experience in organic production, the cooperative, gradually, has begun to expand its activity.In 2016, with the financial support of GIZ and the organizational support of PF "Bioservice", organic certification of the land plots of cooperative members in 3 districts of the Issyk-Kul oblast was carried out. The certification was carried out by the company "Organic Standard" (Ukraine). As a result, 200 hectares of land plots were certified.For today, more than 220 members of cooperative have received knowledge in the field of organic agriculture and are the only farmers in the Issyk Kul region who are engaged in organic agriculture.Uniqueness of our products is that the land plots of our member farmers of cooperative are located in the ideal region for cultivation of organic products. Mountain air, features of climatic conditions of the Issyk-Kul oblast enable to grow various kinds of ecologically pure crop production and medical herbs with the high content of biologically active substances. Laboratory analyses of the medical herbs, which are grown by the ACSC Issyk-Kul Organic show that the content of extract of herbs is exceeded by 130% in comparison with herbs from other countries and the content of chemicals in herbs is 0%.Member farmers of cooperative grow the following types of organic agricultural products:Valerian;Peppermint;Calendula;Potatoes, vegetables;Garlic;Apples;In addition to the above cultures, the cooperative has the opportunity to grow any other culture of medical herbs, vegetables and fruits, at the request of the buyer. And also, organize collection and harvesting of wild herbs and berries that grow on the territory of Issyk Kul oblast.From 2017, it is planned to pilot the production of various types of organic beans, as well as presale sorting and packaging of medical herbs and beans for retail trade.
