Abu Dhabi Medical Devices Co. ***** “MEDECO” was established in 1999 as a joint venture company between Abu Dhabi National Industrial Projects Co. “ADNIP” – ***** and Pharmaplan GmbH – Germany. MEDECO started commercial operations in 2000 and specialized in the manufacturing of high quality Medical Devices. As part of its contribution to Injection Safety, in 2003 MEDECO commissioned a new line dedicated to the production of Auto-Disable Syringes and became the first manufacturer of Auto-Disable (AD) Syringes in the Middle East and Africa. WHO approved MEDECO inject AD syringes under PQS no. E8/04. The unique technique used for the Auto-Disable Mechanism gives it a clear advantage over other syringes. Objective: APPOINT A LOCAL AGENT/ DISTRIBUTOR/REPRESENTATIVE in YOUR country and establish a distribution chain from there. There may be an opportunity to import bulk product and pack and sterilize it in a factory which will give "Local Content" or qualify as a "Local Manufacturer". A good understanding of local Regulatory Issues and the processes and procedures of the MOH will be beneficial.
