Mr Chris Chan founded Ultra Instrumental Agency (UIA) in 1985. It began as a company providing services and support for the instrumentation business in Singapore. In 1989, the directors decided to focus on the automation industry, thus, renaming the company as Ultra Instrumentation & Automation (UIA) Ptd Ltd. Since then, the company aimed to be a market leader in supplying automation components and systems in the local Singaporean market. In 2001, having achieved significant market share in the local market, the business diversified and the company is proud to position itself as a high value-added solution provider for the automation field. Subsequently, the directors renamed the company Ultra Industrial Automation Pte Ltd, which still holds today.Since 1989, UIA has seen phenomenal growth in the local market and began exporting products to the region, including Thailand, Malaysia, China and Indonesia.
