Background

Shun Tat was founded in 1976 and is privately owned and managed by the Tai?s family in Hong Kong. We are one of the biggest zipper manufacturers in HK, China. The main office, namely U. C. Company Limited, is based in Hong Kong.

In the year of 1987, Shun Tat started moving its production lines to Dongguan, China. The factory now sits in the heart of Dongguan: Chang An City. The land is owned by the company, with an area of 30,000 square meters.


Quality Assurance
Since 2000, the company has been ISO 9001:2000 certified.

Shun Tat produces all kinds of zipper and its accessories (e.g. slider, puller and etc.), from one end to another, meaning only raw materials (e.g. yarn, zinc alloy, polyester chips, and etc.) are procured and the entire production is taken place in-house. This is one of the key success factors in securing the best quality. To assure quality level, only A-Grade materials are imported/procured, mainly from Taiwan, Australia and Hong Kong. Also, all materials, such as dye stuffs, polyester, yarn and etc., used are non-toxic and environmental-friendly.

To allow consistent quality verification and product development for quality improvement, an in-house laboratory with latest testing equipments has been established.  Quality tests of various kinds will be performed at our in-house laboratory on a regular basis, with reference to the international standards such as ASTM, BS, JIS and etc.  Besides, samples will be sent to some 3rd party laboratories, e.g. ITS, SGS, for product testing to make sure that the quality complies with the widely-recognized international standards.  Some recent test reports are enclosed for reference purpose
