This was when Frank Meguiar began his quest for new and better ways to provide protection and beauty for people's most prized possessions. Turning his garage in Evansville, Indiana into a laboratory and production plant, his experiments soon produced the first products to display what would eventually become a brand recognized by automotive enthusiasts around the world. A brand that now has the highest customer loyalty of any car wax in America, according to a major independent study.

In the early days, not only did all of Frank's products bear the Meguiar name, so did all of his employees. Equipped with an egg beater, the Meguiar children helped their father produce enough product each day to meet the following day's sales quota. Today, the breadth of our product line makes Meguiar's the most diversified company of its kind anywhere on Earth. Since 1901, Frank's first surface care solutions have expanded into a vast family of cleaners, polishes, waxes, conditioners, protectants and sealants. Until the end of his life in 1950, Frank Meguiar remained committed to advancing the science of surface care. His dedication was twofold: relentless advances in technology, plus ongoing training in the latest techniques for applying those advances.
