In June 2003, Continental Hope Group (CHG) established its business in the energy and chemical industries in a move to implement its "energy-chemical" hybrid development strategy. To date, the energy & chemical business has become one of the four core businesses of CHG.

Sichuan Hope Deepblue Energy & Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. (SHDEC) is the management company of CHG's energy & chemical business. Our company comprises of a total of eleven companies, such as Maoxian Electric Power Company, Hope Deepblue Hydropower Development Company and Hope Deepblue Power & Salt Industry Company. Following the overall development strategy of CHG, SHDEC has formulated an ambitious plan: integrating resources in the energy and chemical industries, building a green and strong industrial chain of "power generation - power transmission/distribution - production of chemicals" and forging the No.1 sodium chlorate brand in China. After years of rapid development, the industrial chain has taken shape; and in 2007, Deepblue brand sodium chlorate ranked first in terms of both sales volume and sales revenue.

As our sodium chlorate plants are located in the place where salt reserves or hydropower resources are rich and the climate is favorable, Deepblue brand sodium chlorate boasts of high quality and low cost. Our supply capacity and market competitiveness will be further promoted with the completion of our expansion project in a few years.
