Sega history The history of sega goes back to 1968 when haj suleyman takak started his business at a small outlet in nusaybin an old commercical town in the southern border of the province of mardin, Turkey. By the time, mr. Yunus takak devolop the small-scale business and made considerable contributions by importing goods from the neighboring countries and distrubiting in Istanbul as well as in the southern part of Turkey. In 1984 and onwards, mr. Yunus takak, the chairman, has further devoloped business having import and export of car products, accessories, spare parts, tyres, batteries and hand tools. Later mr. Yunus takak moved to Istanbul in order to perfom trade operations more professionally. Initially, all import and export products were handled at an outlet in Istanbul by marketing various parts and hardware in the turkish market. Two warehouses were added to supply the customers throughout Turkey. In 1997, sega diversified in import and export by establishing the sega group of companies the management has worked hard for years to meet the customers need for a variety of products. In 2003, sega extended and renewed production facilities in Turkey. In this regard, sega lubricant plant in tuzla, Istanbul has reached a capacity of 60.000 tons of processing base oil to produce a variety of High quality lubricants. New production lines have been established to produce sealants, silicones, gasket makers and chemicals with latest computerized technology. In addition to lubricants factory, sega renewed the existing auto accessory factory in buyukcekmece, Istanbul to meet customers need in Turkey and abroad. Today, with competent management team and experienced technical staff, sega has been producing auto lubricants, auto care products, auto accessories, selants, batteries, and tyres. Having new production premises, free zone facilities five warehouses, offices in Turkey and abroad, companies in algeria, Bulgaria, Iraq, Germany and Iran, sega group has been manufacturing and exporting quality products to more than 45 countries throughout the world.
