Pungmi Kimchi, which was established in May 1986 to produce various types of Kimchi, has exerted all our efforts to make a scientific and systematic manufacturing process while consistently studying for the specific knowledge and technology on various types of Kimchi. Also through the renovated management activities while devoting all our energies in producing high-quality Kimchi, we could raise income by improving productivity and cutting production costs.

Especially, we have set up a separate R&D team under the belief that a small-sized company can grow only through consistent efforts on productivity improvement and production cost reduction, leading us to a technology innovation company. By doing so, we could get 11 types of patents by developing the calcium-enhanced and freshness-keeping Kimchi, including a production method rich in calcium by using eggshell. As the result, we could win the industry award on the 5th Small Company Technology Renovation Exhibition.

Pungmi Kimchi has moved to a modernized office building with an area of 6620m2 and extended its business area of Kimchi manufacturing to the company specialized in the production of traditional foods such as soybean sauce, rice cake, Korean confectionery and taffy. Also by facilitating the traditional food culture room and traditional food study room, we are providing the place and opportunity to study for Korean traditional food by foreign tourists as well as Korean people, while inheriting the production methods of Korean traditional food.

We believe that the comprehensive business that PungMi Kimchi conducts will contribute to the job creation and national development while yielding corporate profits. Further more, it will help to keep the know-how of Korean traditional food production.
