We are raising chickens, turkeys, ducks and other fowl for meat or eggs. Our Poultry farm is mainly: 1. Breeding farm where we raise poultry for meat and 2. Layer farm where we produce eggs.

The ?best? breeds depend on what you want from us. Good egg layers are Rhode Island Reds (brown eggs) and Leghorns (white eggs). Great meat comes from Arbor Acres, Ross, and Peterson chickens. Some of our hens are raised for egg production and meatiness.

Our poultry raising is a big business. Each step is done by someone who knows what he is doing.We wants to get the best chicken we can.'Best? might mean a meatier chicken, one with less or more fat, or one that lays more eggs more often. We some times hire veterinarians and scientists to help us choose the characteristics we want in these chickens. We are known for our special kinds of chickens and no one can copy us.
Food costs is very important to us because feed is about 60% of the cost of raising. Our Fowl are usually fed with a combination of maize, soy, rice bran and cereals.
Our poultry products are mostly used for meat and eggs but other products come from these animals. Duck and goose feathers are used for pillows and insulated clothing. That ?down-filled? jacket: GOOSE FEATHERS! Manure is used as fertilizer. Eggs are used in paint and medical vaccines.
