LIFE SOURCE OLIVE OILS CO. was established in the city of Izmir, Turkey in 1998. This city is considered the birth place of Olive Oil in ancient history. The location of the first cultivation of olives is still a mystery, but the oldest Olive Oil producing plant is found in Izmir, Turkey. Olive trees spread out to many Mediterranean regions throughout time. Among those regions are Milet, Ephesus, Phocaea, Klazomenai (Urla) and Assos, all located in present Turkey, were the heart of Olive Oil production.
