Hankook Metal Ind. Co., Ltd. was founded in November 1966 in Busan, the largest port in Korea. In 1988, the company expanded production capacity by establishing a new company, Hankum Co., Ltd. at a site located near Posco in Pohang City.

By focusing their effort on research and development, Hankook Metal Ind. Co., Ltd. has made significant advancements in the techniques and technology used to develop cold rolled steel.
