Gemstones Brazil is a family-owned business based in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
The Rodrigues family have been involved in the mining and production of minerals and gemstones for more than a decade in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, one of the most mineral-rich areas of the world. The family owns and operates several mines in the Jequitonhonha Valley, an area twice the size of Switzerland in the north east of Minas Gerais.
Maira Toledo Rodrigues established Gemstones Brazil in 2011. After living in Barcelona for many years and working in the gemstone industry there, she moved to Scotland in 2010. Maira is passionate about the gemstones business and has several years experience within the sector, including having attended quite a number of international trade shows such as Tucson. She is looking forward to bringing the finest quality of beautiful gemstones to the market at competitive prices.
