Dana Farms

Dana Farms, founded in 1986, is one of the pioneer farms re-cultivating the Nuberaya Dessert in Egypt. It has been founded by Salah El-Din Gad, and managed to built and improve it continuously for 20+ years. Today, the farm is run by Reham Salah El-Din. Reham, is a computer science engineer and is a MBA holder. She holds a sound record in her field of information systems and organization development and is now running the farm utilizing her strong background in operations management and people leadership. Dana Farms is a farm of size 330 feddan or 139 hectares, planting 5 fruit crops: peaches, citrus, mangoes, grapes, and apricots supplied by a robust dripping irrigation system. The farm has been able to become certified by Global Gap (Euregap) since 5 years to allow entry in foreign market. We export peaches, citrus, and grapes. For the mangoes, we prefer to serve the local market, yet we can consider a change in case of an appealing opportunity. Lately during 2010, we started looking forward to introduce planting specific vegetables alongside the fruit trees. Dana Farm team looks forward to further strengthen its reach in foreign markets in seek of overlooked opportunities.
