SHINEX Technologies is a UK based company offering easy to use Electrophoretic lacquer to achieve high quality metal finishing at a competitive price. The products are made in UK for the world market. SHINEX is an acrylic polyurethane based emulsion (lacquer) capable of being deposited cathodically to give exceptionally clear, glossy coatings at low film thickness on substrates such as copper, brass, silver, gold, nickel and zinc alloys for general applications. The resultant film is extremely hard and gives a high degree of abrasion resistance. The throwing power of this product is very good, which is of paramount importance when coating complicated shapes. It gives better coverage on sharp edges too. The process used to apply these chemicals is called 'Electrophoretic'. SHINEX is a one component emulsion partially neutralised with an organic acid: it is diluted with demineralised water prior to use. The use of the product is simplified by the fact that with addition of demineralised water SHINEX attains a correct working solution without any further adjustments being necessary. It is non-flammable so considerably safer to use than conventional solvent based lacquers. It is applied by electro-deposition from a water based solution. SHINEX Products Range (1) SHINEX LB SHINEX LB is a core product for Low Build coating. SHINEX LB is Translucent to Whitish (Milky) emulsion liquid. It pours well and is easy to handle. (2) SHINEX LB CLEAR SHINEX LB- CLEAR is a core product for Low Build Clear coating (3) SHINEX Flow Carrier Additive for LB (Flow Additive and Solvent Carrier 2 in 1) Flow Carrier Solvents are used for large baths with low turnover systems or where bath is lying idle for long period. Solvents are lost by evaporation too. Flow additive to be used based on analysis. Flow Additive Solvents are used to get better flow of material on complex articles Flow carrier additive has a special Wetting Agent and when added to the bath where the components to be plated are too small and has many bends and corners such as imitation jewellery etc. the material deposits evenly on all parts.(4) SHINEX HB SHINEX HB is a core product for How Build coating. SHINES HB is Light straw coloured liquid.(5) SHINEX Flow Additive (solvent replenishner) for HB (Also available for HD and HB mixed bath as HC) (6) SHINEX Solvent for HB (similar to PM Solvent) (7) SHINEX MEQ Adjuster (Emulsion Stabiliser)(8) SHINEX Rinse AdditiveRinse additives are added to Pre and Post Rinse tanks. Normally 1 to 2 ml added per litre of Rinse Tank. (9) SHINEX Dye-Gold, Red and YellowDyes are available in Gold, Yellow and Red for Gold shade variation, Brass and Copper. Additional colours on request for specific applications.Packaging The normal packaging is 25 Litre plastic drums. If sent in a pallet, it would be 24 Drums (600 KG). In early stage of setting distribution, the individual drums could be sent by air freight. Once the quantity of sales is established the pallet sea shipments can start.SHINEX LB- Low Build gives thickness of 3 to 12 micronsSHINEX HB- High Build gives thickness of 12 to 25 microns It is applied on gold or silver plated products as a clear film. If Gold or Brass colour dyes are used, it maintains the shine for five to six years. The other advantage of using this method of depositing lacquer is that it gives even film with no runs compared to dip lacquers.If one is looking for gold colour for imitation jewellery or other gold colour products, gold die can be mixed in this lacquer and deposited on the product as a gold film. It is over 60% cheaper to get the gold colour compared to actual gold plating.
