The Mr. Coconut story
The Mr. Coconut International Corporation has developed from years of experience in the Philippine coconut industry. Forty 50 years of involvement in the coconut industry from copra crushing, export of coconut oil and research for various process of coconuts and all its products has resulted into a new line of products that are not only fit for cosmetics but for good health as well. Thus, Mr. Coconut was born.
Mr. Coconut offers more than just the coconut. With its carefully researched and developed processes, it produces crude coconut oil, Refined Bleached Deodorized RBD coconut oils, desiccated coconuts, coco husks, lumber, charcoal, vinegar, jams, pickles, wine, animal feeds, and the most recent health craze virgin coconut oil.
The process of creating virgin coconut oil, our finest product, has evolved and perfected the last fifteen 15 years. From primarily using simple fermentation, double jacketed kettles, expellers, and centrifuge machines are now utilized. Only the best technology is used in creating Mr. Coconut products.
Mr. Coconut International does not only focus on creating its fine product line. It also aims on a holistic development of the Philippine Coconut Industry.
Firstly it takes care of its own, the coconut farmers. As a first-class company, there is an emphasis on strong family values. Re-education seminars and study groups are well organized to provide guidance to all its workers. Apart from due compensation and full benefits, coconut farmer families receive additional financial aid through educational subsidies and programs for their children.
Furthermore, the company believes that the coconut is more than just a plant. Mr. Coconut and its products seek to represent the Philippines in the global market trough: ecologically sustainable business practice; meaningful contribution to both local and international coconut farming communities through Christian values that guarantees care, honesty, fairness and respect; and by ensuring the protection of the coconut tree habitat itself.
In 2004, Mr Coconut has branched out from a purely manufacturing corporation. It has sought to provide health services through its new Mr. Coconut Juice Bars. It aims to provide a more convenient outlet for its valued customers to acquire its signature coconut products while getting refreshed.
In 2008, Mr. Coconut seeks to expand thirty 30 new juice bars and increase distribution plus we are in the process of constructing five 5 additional manufacturing plants guaranteeing the constant supply and the highest quality of coconut products.
