Manufactures of Coir fiber. FiveFingers Coir Industries was established in the month of October 2011 at NAMAKKAL, TAMILNADU, INDIA for producing "white and brown Coir fibre " by processing "Coconut Husk" which is available freely in the area by utilizing the best manufacturing facilities. The Company uses decorticator for extracting Coir fibre from the Husk. The Coir fibre produced is being sold to Curled Coir rope manufacturing Units around TAMILNADU and to rubberized coir mattress manufacturing Units and Co-operative Societies in INDIA. The binding material that comes from the coconut husk during the process of producing Coir fibre is called "Coir pith" which is converted into valuable by-products called Coco peat blocks and Coir pith manure . Quality control: We are having good manufacturing capacities. Our current capacity is 500 tons of fibre, 250 tons of Curled Coir Rope and 500 tons of coco peat per month and is planning to increase it in near future. Presently, we are manufacturing Compressed Cocopeat in 5 kg blocks. Quantity : We are having good manufacturing capacities. Our current capacity is 500 tons of fibre, 250 tons of Curled Coir Rope. In future it will cross more than 1000 tons . Container Loading: The above products are loaded in container by floor loading or by palletized loading. The individual pallets gets sink wrapped. The loadable quantity is depends upon the products, palletized or floor loading, size of container (20 ft / 40 ft). Normally we use Methyl Bromide for container fumigation process. Shipping : We are nearer to Tuticorin port, which is a famous port in South India and get connected to major ports around the globe. Applications of coir fiber: Coconut Coir Upholstery-Mattresses Coconut Coir is widely used in the upholstery industry, and it is a healthy substitute for processed synthetic rubber. It is also used as a combination with natural rubber and is used for filling up mattresses, automobile seats, sofas, settees, and seating systems. Coconut Coir Insulation Coconut Coir is used for insulation and finds application in panels, cold storages, food industry, etc. Coconut Coir Erosion Control Coconut Coir nets are used to prevent soil erosion during heavy rains and cyclones. Coconut Pith Agriculture Coconut Pith is used in farming, agricultural and gardening activities and finds wide usage in plant nurseries. Coconut Pith has moisture retaining properties. Coconut Coir Netting Coconut Coir is used for making fishing nets and is preferred for its non toxic properties. Coconut Coir Matting Coconut Coir matting as a natural product is used at homes, commercial establishments, hospitals and hotels. The matting is preferred for its aesthetics and for its insulating property, in cold climes.
