Barleda 72

Barleda 72 is a supplier of high quality safety and security equipment to numerous companies throughout Africa. The company was established in March, 2005 when it was recognised that expatriate multi-national companies, specifically in Tanzania, were struggling to identify sources from which to obtain this type of equipment. They were at that time using a supplier in the northern hemisphere and were paying exorbitant prices for the gear. In addition there was an unacceptable lead time between ordering the equipment and its delivery. The aim of Barleda 72 became to source the equipment from within Africa, and South Africa proved to be the most convenient place to achieve that goal. By negotiating with a number of manufacturers it became possible to supply safety and security equipment of the highest quality and at the lowest possible prices. Barleda 72 is based in the industrial and economic power-house of Johannesburg, South Africa which is also the gateway to many of the African countries to the north. As a result, direct negotiation with the various manufacturers and suppliers is possible and the delivery of the goods is made easier. This is a small owner-managed business so the operating overheads are kept to a minimum. These savings are passed on to the customer with the result that prices are kept as low as possible. Due to a familiarity with operating conditions in Africa, the mission of Barleda 72 is to provide a contact that expatriate companies may use to obtain quality goods at a reasonable price and delivered promptly and in good condition.
